The Building a Future Foundation (BAFF) founded in March 2006 by the Jinasena family and Pierre Pringiers, Honorary Consul for Belgium in Sri Lanka, co-founders of Loadstar (PVT) Ltd. BAFF is a long-term extension of the Solideal Loadstar Rehabilitation Trust (SLRT), an organisation created in the aftermath of the tsunami of December 26, 2004 to rebuild the Southern coast of Sri Lanka, with a total budget of 6,7 million USD reaching 15 000 direct and 25 000 indirect beneficiaries.
The Building A Future Foundation’s mission is to improve the living conditions of underprivileged persons depending on the resources of the Ocean by creating a sailing culture in the island and at developing a yachting industry from boat building, sails and masts making… to the creation of the infrastructure (mini-marinas) and charter services.
